This is where Mullin and I part ways in regards to how our country works. Laws can be changed by elected representatives...the problem this go-around is: New York elected the wrong people. Maybe next time, they will make better choices and this, as well as any other totalitarian efforts to restrict freedom will be struck from the books.

Our City had butt busters in place before the ban even took effect, our police no longer respond to break and enter or fender benders, butttt they do hang out in bars, waiting for smokers to fall into their trap.

But owners could be in a tough spot if they are required to make people leave - and cops could be facing an increase in calls.

"That's their prerogative [to call the police]," Mullin said. "That's not something that we're recommending. We ask people not to put establishments in that difficult position."
